About CCF

Verifiable fairness for crypto casinos

The Crypto Casino Foundation is the independent body behind the CCF RNG-certification standard — and CCF Labs, the lab that runs the tests. We exist so players never have to take a casino's word for it; they can check for themselves.

Our Mission

Make fairness something you can verify, not just trust

The crypto gambling space grew fast — faster than trust could keep up. Players can't easily tell a serious casino from a fly-by-night one, and "trust me" is not evidence.

CCF's answer is evidence. Casinos put their games to independent test — certified against a published statistical standard, with results anyone can reproduce. The certificate is the credential; the public register lists the casinos that hold one.

Publicly verifiable

Every certificate has a public record. Anyone — players, affiliates, journalists — can check a casino's certification status in seconds without an account.

Reproducible, not just asserted

Our RNG standard is published in full and the tests run in your own browser. "Certified" means something because you can re-run it yourself.

Independent

CCF is not affiliated with any casino, software provider, or affiliate network, and earns no player-referral commissions.

What CCF Does

A published standard, independently applied

CCF publishes an RNG-certification standard and — through its own testing lab, CCF Labs — certifies casino games against it. The casinos that earn certificates are listed in a public register; there's nothing to simply sign up for.

The Record

Earned by certification

There's no membership to buy. A casino appears here only by having its games certified against CCF-STD-001. Certified casinos are listed in the public directory and may display the CCF Certified mark — standing tied to real, current certificates, not a claim.

  • Listing in the Certified Casinos directory
  • Right to display the CCF Certified mark
  • Subject to the public complaints process

The Credential

RNG & RTP Certification

The substantive credential. A game's random output is statistically tested under the published CCF-STD-001 standard (NIST SP 800-22 battery) and its realized RTP checked against declared odds. Each certificate carries a unique ID, a full public report, and a live-status badge.

  • Is this game's RNG actually random?
  • Does the payout match the stated RTP?
  • Can anyone reproduce the result?
About RNG Certification

The Certification Process

How a game is RNG-certified

Certification is evidence-based and reproducible. Every certificate traces back to a sample anyone can re-test against the published standard.

01

Sample

The operator provides a certification-grade sample of raw RNG output from the exact game build to be certified.

02

Statistical Battery

The sample is run through the CCF-STD-001 battery — the NIST SP 800-22 randomness tests — producing a p-value for each test.

03

RTP Check

Realized return-to-player over the sample is checked against the game's declared RTP to confirm the odds match the claim.

04

Version Lock

The certificate is bound to the specific game build and seeding scheme tested. A material change requires re-certification.

05

Publish

The full per-test report is published on a public certificate page — and is reproducible by anyone in our open test tool.

06

Lapse & Revoke

Certificates carry a status. A certificate can lapse or be revoked, and the public record and badge reflect it immediately.

What CCF is not

§

Not a government regulator

CCF certification is not a legal gambling license and authorizes operation in no jurisdiction. Casinos remain responsible for their own regulatory licensing in the markets they serve.

§

Certification is per game

A certificate covers a specific game build, not a whole casino. A certified casino may still run uncertified games — the directory shows exactly which games hold a live certificate, so "certified" always means something specific.

§

Not a guarantee against loss

A certificate confirms a game's randomness and RTP at the time of testing. Gambling is still gambling: a fair game has a house edge, and you can and will lose money. CCF certifies fairness, not outcomes.
